First of all, my apologies for posting this so late. Between Valentine’s Day and some things happening in real life, I’ve been too busy, but better late than never! Anyways…
It’s hard to believe we’re on episode nine already! There’s only a few episodes left in the fourth season. Was it a good season overall? Will the faithfuls banish all of the traitors or will the traitors win everything? That remains to be seen.
As for this one, I hope you are ‘wearing a helmet and have your sh*tting pants on’…this week’s episode of The Traitors US titled, “Think Outside The Box” will make you sh*t your pants and make your head explode. (These are not my words, but you will soon find out who’s.)
As usual, if you haven’t watched this episode yet and don’t want to know — look away now! It’s another spoiler alert!

The episode begins where we left off. Rob had just revealed himself as a traitor to Eric. Eric is shocked at first, but then applauds him, saying how good of a job he’s doing.

Rob tells Eric he has an ultimatum to make him…either join his traitorous ways, or he’ll kill him on the spot. Eric tells him this is a sick and twisted game.
I know, right? That’s why I love it!
Eric agrees to be a traitor. Rob gives him his robe. It’s cute how Rob helps Eric adjust his robe. Rob then tells him they have to commit a murder right now. Eric’s like right now? You can tell Eric is shell shocked and everything’s coming at him all at once. He tells us he needs a helmet and an adult diaper because he’s going to shit his pants and his head is going to explode. If you guessed Eric in the beginning, you get a gold star! ⭐️ Eric asks do they have to murder someone? Rob says they have to. It’s their job.

Up in the turret they run through their shortlist. Dorinda, Stephen and Natalie. They seal the envelope and walk out of the turret with Rob telling Eric he looks like Harry Potter but more like the Slytherin kind. 🤣🤣🤣

The next morning at breakfast, everybody’s thinking Johnny is a traitor, and if it’s not him, it’s Tara. Kristen thinks that whoever out of the two is the traitor, the other is guilty by association. Kristen, you are losing me with every episode. Your instincts are so far off. That doesn’t make sense! Tara and Johnny are the least likely to be traitors out of everyone left.
Maura reminds everyone of Candiace’s vote for Rob. She thinks that Rob was going to be murdered. I really thought she was going to say she thinks Rob’s a traitor, but then she went in a completely different direction.

We find out Dorinda is murdered. Kristen asks what the fuck did she do? Kristen, they don’t have to do anything! Do you really think the traitors need a reason to murder? Are you Vanessa from BB17? (IYKYK)

Dorinda did better this season. She was the first murdered last season and this season she was the last housewife standing. 👏🏻
Alan comes in wearing an outfit that looks similar to my grandparent’s fine china. He tells the group that today’s mission involves thinking outside the box.

Talk around the castle while waiting for the mission to start, revolves around how Johnny and Tara appear to be closer than they had thought. I found this really hard to believe because if you have two figure skaters who both competed in the Olympics during the same time…I would assume they at least knew each other, if not friends. How is this suddenly an issue?

Elsewhere, Rob and Eric are talking to Maura. It’s not so much what they’re talking about, it’s the fact that…
Rob is an eagle soaring across the sky. This guy is laying down with his cropped top vest on, hands behind his back. And I’m trying to sit there and be normal and it’s really hard. ~ Eric
What I don’t understand is how Maura can see this and not question how Rob is a traitor, because that’s suspicious AF behaviour to me.
Tara talks to Kristen, who basically tells her she thinks she’s a traitor and how Tara acts scared all the time and she gravitates towards people who aren’t afraid. Tara swears to her she’s a faithful.

Mission time! It’s the traitor-in-the-box one! Where the traitors answer questions out in the open, while the faithfuls are in their boxes. They will receive $500 for every matched answer, with a maximum amount of $18,000 to be added in total, if all questions are answered correctly.
The sounds of the traitors coming out of their boxes are really loud. You hear a bunch of creaking and squeaking, kind of like my old bones. I liked how it was more risky than the UK was.
But don’t worry, Rob won’t get caught.
The traitors end up answering every question with Tara’s name. They don’t care if they win any money, they just want to create chaos amongst the faithful. That being said, all they add is $5,500 to the prize pot. Alan is not happy with the faithfuls.
The final question is, who is on the shortlist to be murdered tonight? If they can’t open up their box, they’ve made the shortlist! That means the members of the shortlist are; Johnny, Natalie, Kristen, and Tara.

Back at the castle, Natalie is pushing hard for Stephen as a traitor. Rob reasons they can go for Stephen because he thinks Johnny will be banished at the next round table anyways. It doesn’t really matter who goes first.
Kristen is going to write down Tara’s name regardless because she had told her she was a traitor and now she’s ended up on the shortlist. That’s really suspicious because why now?
Tara and Johnny decide they’re going to expose their relationship and go out guns blazing! This sounds very risqué, kind of like how they skated way back when.

At the round table, Tara and Johnny expose they’re really best friends and think the same thing. They think Stephen is a traitor. Stephen denies it. Mark asks Johnny to prove he’s not a traitor.
Just because I play the game poorly, doesn’t mean I’m a traitor. ~ Johnny
After Alan asks if the dagger is going to be used, Natalie pleads with Rob to admit he has it. She’s up for murder after all. He whispers that he has it. I know from Maura’s expression, that she heard. She has to suspect Rob by now, right? She’s giving nothing away as to what she thinks but her facial expressions kill me regardless.

The votes are read and Stephen ends up being banished. He’s a faithful and they blew it! The faithfuls are disappointed one again!

Post round table, Natalie apologizes to Rob and Eric for getting it wrong. Rob says he thinks what Tara and Johnny did was stupid, people are going to think both of them are traitors and nobody’s going to trust them now. I mean, their games couldn’t be any worse. 🤷🏼♀️
Tara and Johnny are like we suck and it’s going to be horrible if one of them is murdered and the other one is by themselves. They have nobody else.
Kristen confronts Eric about being very quiet at the round table. She says he needs to say something. Eric says he was so sure about Johnny, but then what he said made sense. Kristen says he should have his own opinion.
Kristen says she doesn’t trust Eric. That if she’s murdered, look at Eric. The good news…? She tells this to Rob and Mark, so Rob knows. Either he’s going to protect Eric or he’s going to use it to set him up for banishment.

Up in the turret, Rob tells Eric what Kristen said. They could be in trouble, then moves on to discuss who to murder out of their shortlist of; Johnny, Kristen, Tara and Natalie. Rob says he wants to do all of them. 😆 Eric says they can only do one.
The players on the shortlist get a letter. They’re to go to the dungeon. There’s a jack-in-the-box. If a traitor jumps out, they’re murdered. The episode ends with each of them turning the handle and seeing their shocked reactions.

I hate when they leave us on a cliffhanger! In the preview, it looks like Rob may use the dagger. Don’t quote me on this but I think this is the last time he can use the dagger, which will give him two votes. I can’t remember though, I could be wrong.
