The Traitors US “If You’re Going To Come For Me, I’ll Finish You”

This is the fifth episode of TheTraitors US already?!?! Season four is going by so fast! And now we’re only going to be getting one episode per week. Boo… 👎🏻

This week’s title sounds so ominous and violent. I love it.

As usual, if you haven’t watched this episode yet, and don’t want to be spoiled…stop reading now. The rest of this post contains spoilers. You have been warned.

The episode begins with the traitors discussing who to murder. Will it be Johnny, Stephen, Monet and Tara? They’re glad none of them are housewives or gamers. “It destroys the pattern,” Rob says.

The next morning at breakfast, everyone is mourning the loss of Tiffany at the round table the night before. Talk shifts to Ron and how he doesn’t make an effort with anyone. But yet they listened to him about Porsha. How is that possible?

Rob comes in wearing no shirt, just in his overalls and his snake tattoos. How fitting.

We find out Monet has been murdered because he said Lisa’s name. Candiace feels guilty about his murder because he trusted her and she used that trust against him.

Alan’s shirt is so perfect. I can hear his voice saying “murrrder” too.

Kristen suspects Colton is a traitor. She thinks he’s not a team player either.

Mission time! It’s the Fountain of the Faithful! They have to search the water of the fountain for coins, which will tell them the location of a statue they have to carry back to complete the fountain. There’s eight statues in all. There’s a shield underneath each statue. If nobody takes a shield, there will be no murder that night. If even one of them takes a shield, it’s murder as usual. They’re playing for $16,000.

They collect all of the statues and get them back in time. They’ve added $16,000 to the prize pot. But we won’t know until tomorrow at breakfast if anybody took any shields.

Ron tells Dorinda he thinks she and Michael are traitors. Colton asked Michael what Alan wears up in the turret. Michael tells Colton after what happened with Tiffany, he should have egg on his face.

It’s Michael vs Colton 🍿🍿🍿

Don’t mind me. Just enjoying a drink during this fight.

It’s time for the round table. The discussion begins with Candiace asking if they want to talk about the elephant in the room, which is the recent fight between Colton and Michael. Michael accuses Colton as being cold, calculating and conniving. Michael is angry and isolated because of Colton.

Nobody in this room would be better at holding a secret than you. ~ Michael points towards Colton.

Colton thinks Michael insinuated he held a secret for twenty-nine years. Meaning, being in the closet. Michael denies meaning it that way. Johnny says he took it that way too. Candiace asks him to clarify. Michael says Colton’s behaviour is secretive, conniving, it’s chirping, it’s commiserating. It’s cowardly.

Finally Rob speaks up and says commiserating means to feel sorry for someone.

Colton says he realized there was four people who voted for Michael at the beginning of the game and there’s only one left and that’s Yam Yam.

Ron thinks Michael is the pitbull for Dorinda. He thinks they’re both traitors. Dorinda thinks Ron is a housewife hunter. He says he doesn’t watch housewives. He doesn’t know who any of them are. Dorinda complains about not getting answers when she asks Ron about where he lives and about his family. Ron says he doesn’t care and his family is none of her business. He thinks getting to know each other creates a bias. He thinks it impedes on his investigation. But it doesn’t mean he’s not a faithful playing the game.

True, but this is the total opposite of a social game, which you kind of need to keep your name from being brought up at the round table and to keep yourself from getting murdered. Just saying…as someone who watches many competitive reality shows that rely on social game.

During voting, most have had it with Michael to the point where even if he’s a faithful, they want him out. Wow…that’s bad. Not sure whose social game is worse between Michael and Ron.

Michael is voted out and he says,

The name of the game is to capture traitors. You just voted out the best looking, the smartest and the dopest faithful.

After Michael leaves, Alan says,

Democracy has spoken.

Alan tells them they won’t find out if anyone took a shield until the next morning at breakfast. How rude!

Kristen tells Eric and Mark after the round table that if she’s murdered in the next three days, it’s Colton. Mark says Colton has thrown out a lot of names. They have to keep their eyes open for now.

Johnny says Colton spent the day getting votes. Johnny, Tara and Candiace say they trust each other. Colton asks Dorinda if Lisa is normally so quiet? Dorinda says, no she’s not. This wouldn’t be an issue if Rob wasn’t sitting right there!

Colton goes on to say that she’s his speed and if she’s a true faithful, she’d be playing with him. Maura says Lisa has never brought up who she thinks a traitor is. And voting out Porsha night one was suspicious. Colton says Lisa wears her sunglasses a lot and at breakfast she goes over the top.

Rob says he’s in an alliance with Colton and he wants to protect that. He also wants to help his fellow traitors. But there’s only so much he can do.

Why did his face tell me he’d put forth this kind of effort in getting suspicion off Lisa?

Later that night the traitors meet up in the turret. Rob tells Lisa about how Colton’s coming for her and how she has to speak up more at the round table. Lisa knew he was going to be trouble. They have to murder him now. Since they don’t know if they can, they’re worried that if they don’t succeed in murdering him, he’s coming for Lisa.

That’s it…that’s the end of the episode!

Well…it’s going to be interesting to see if anybody took shields. I kind of liked this twist better than the UK’s for this mission. It’s a lot more guesswork involved for the viewers as well as players.

As for what Michael said about Colton…I completely understand how Colton took it the way he did, but I didn’t hear Michael say twenty-nine years. I don’t know if he did or didn’t mean it that way when he said it, but as I learned years ago in a management course on how to deal with harassment…if one person perceives it that way, it’s to be believed that way. Especially if they’re the person it’s directed towards.

I’m happy Michael was banished regardless. He should’ve been banished at the first round table, IMO.

Until the next time… ✌🏻

See what I did there? I had to laugh when Johnny said good night to the knight. 🤣
