The Traitors UK “Cabin Fever”

Another day…another episode of The Traitors UK dropped! As you may remember, they left us hanging with another cliffhanger, not knowing who they’re murdering. The traitors are particularly worried the player they pick for murder will have a shield.

From this point on, if you haven’t watched the episode yet, and don’t want to know what happens until you do watch it…look away now! Spoilers are incoming!

We find our traitors up in the turret convincing themselves they made the right choice. Hopefully the player they murdered didn’t have a shield.

Fast forward to the next day at breakfast. Stephen and Rachel are in the first group to enter – along with Matthew. (A future traitorous trio maybe?) Rachel worries that people paid attention to what Harriet said about her. She thinks it’s only a matter of time until the faithfuls realize she’s really a traitor.

Matthew thinks he’s an idiot because he led the crusade against Harriet. Meanwhile, Jack is extra focused on finding a traitor. His biggest hope is whoever the traitors murdered had a shield and there was no murder the night before.

We later find out the person who was murdered was…Adam! The traitors decided to murder Adam, because it will implicate Matthew and besides, Adam’s really smart.

James reveals he’s the one in their group who had the second shield. He betrayed his own teammates. This makes others suspicious of him. Matthew wonders if his deal with the traitors is still on, because Jessie had a shield and couldn’t be murdered.

Claudia arrives and tells them they may get cabin fever. You know what that means…the return of the creepy cabin in the woods! This cabin is becoming as iconic as the castle. It always gives me nightmares.

Sam says if there’s a shield available during the mission, he’s going for it. Sam doesn’t think James is a traitor. Everyone discusses how they don’t think Sam is a traitor on the way to the mission.

They arrive at the cabin in the woods, where Claudia greets them. Others feel the same way as me, that the cabin is the stuff horror movies are made of. Claudia tells them there’s a graveyard in the back. They’ll have to decipher clues the cabin is telling them and when the cabin door opens, they’ll have only sixty seconds to find the correct grave, grab the bag of gold, and come back. It’s up to them on who searches for the right grave. There’s only one shield. There’s six questions and there’s £6000 up for grabs, if nobody grabs the shield.

Meanwhile, during this mission, the creepy cabin is scaring the players (and viewers) by using every horror movie trick in the book. Every time they choose the right grave, a hand comes up out of the ground with a bag full of money, scaring us. Claudia seems apologetic, but I don’t think she really is. She seems to take great pleasure in their reactions. She tells them they added only £4000 to the pot, meaning they either got two clues wrong or someone went for the shield and they got one wrong. You decide. (We know it’s the latter.)

Back at the castle, Jessie is on Stephen’s neck about her suspicions he’s a traitor, but nobody really seems to be listening. Now she’s come up with the theory that there was a traitor in one of the cages. Stephen was in one of those too. He’s finding it increasingly difficult to throw Jessie’s suspicions off him.

At the round table, suspicions fall upon Sam. Roxy brings up James because he betrayed his teammates. Matthew brings up Jade. He thinks she and Sam are traitors. Rachel reminds them how Amanda thought Sam and Jade were both traitors. Sam says but she was wrong. He’s not a traitor.

Hey, did you know there were a bunch of people in the room when Ben said Ross was a traitor? Most of them are gone now, but the rest Jessie doesn’t think are traitors because they haven’t given her reason to be. She thinks Stephen is the only one who was in both the room and in the cages and has acted suspicious.

The faithfuls (again) vote out a fellow faithful. This time it’s Sam. Most of them didn’t like how he went for the shield, instead of the money and acted really suspicious. He singles out Matthew and Faraaz for being so wrong.

Post round table, Jessie complains to Rachel about how whenever she brings up her concerns, nobody pays any attention to what she’s saying. Rachel tries to stick up for Stephen. Stephen has to go into self-preservation mode because Jessie’s suspicions are correct. Jessie is worried she’s going to be murdered that night because she’s the only one who’s on to Stephen.

Rachel goes to work trying to get people to forget about what Jessie said about Stephen.

Later on up in the conclave, the traitors decide to murder instead of recruit. But they have concerns about Matthew and their deal. If they keep him but break their deal, and if he knows who they are…will he try to take them out? They think Matthew’s dangerous.

But then there’s Jessie. She’s right on target, but it would bring even more suspicion onto Stephen because she’s been so vocal about him.

Stephen also wants to get rid of absolute faithfuls, meaning players who other people would take before him because there’s no suspicion on that person. Players like Faraaz.

So it’s between Matthew, Jessie and Faraaz. Who will it be? Find out tomorrow!

To be honest, I don’t know who they’ll murder. I think Matthew might be the smartest move though.

What do you think? Please feel free to share your thoughts below!

Until the next time… ✌🏻
