Another week, and our favourite traitorous, murderous Brits are back with another episode of The Traitors UK and it’s a doozy!! Strap in and get your popcorn ready!!
As usual, if you haven’t watched the episode yet, and don’t want to be spoiled, look away now! This is your last chance!

The episode begins where the last one ends, when Matthew was asking the traitors his second question which was that if they murder Jessie instead of recruiting someone, would they agree to do it? And the next time they can recruit, can they recruit him? He’d love to be a traitor. Do they have a deal?
That sounds like more than the two questions they were allowed…but whatever. It’s good suspense.
They make this deal, hoping to throw him under the bus later on. Matthew is overjoyed. He always wanted to be a traitor.
If you can’t beat them, join them. ~ Matthew
Next, Harriet gets to ask her two questions. She reveals she’s an author of thriller novels. She asks them which three people they’re going to recruit, and why (since Fiona is gone)? They tell her Jessie (under the radar), herself or Sam (sacrificial lamb). She tells them their answers aren’t worth the paper they’re on, then burns the paper.
But Harriet’s second question will make you shite your pants…she knows Rachel is a traitor and knows she’s in the confessional booth.

She threatens to get Rachel banished the next day and says there’s nothing Rachel can do about it since there’s not going to be a murder that night.

Ooooh…Harriet, where’d this side of you come from? I kinda of love it, but I’m scared this is only going to put a target on your back. 😬
Her second question is: are they going to continue to work in a pack to protect Rachel?
They reply “no, take her.” Harriet says, “I bet you wished you killed me when you had the chance.”
After Harriet leaves, Stephen says the next day is going to be really chaotic. Talk about an understatement.
The next day at breakfast, Matthew isn’t sure how to play it after getting his questions answered. So he decides not to do anything at all – except be a faithful.
Harriet decided to play it quite differently. She reveals her job as a novelist and a former criminal barrister. Everyone is impressed.

Roxy tells the group about what happened in the Walled Garden with the smoke and mirrors to the group. Harriet then tells everyone about her questions.
Matthew says he’s not going to tell them about his questions because he thinks they lied anyways. This, of course, gets suspicion on him.
Rachel comes up with some really lame questions IMO, since she obviously is a traitor and didn’t need to ask questions. But come on…do better.
Rachel is worried about what Harriet’s going to say during the round table later that night.
Mission time! The players have to collect eight statues and place them on a platform in order to get The Fountain of the Faithful working again. If they get all eight of them back, they will add £10,000 to the prize pot.
In each statue, there’s a shield, which they can reveal to the others if they want, or if they don’t want to, they can keep it a secret. But for every shield they choose to take, £1000 will be deducted from the £10,000.

They collected all eight statues in time, but there’s a slight problem. Since seven people took shields, they only added £3000 to the prize pot. I guess we got the answer to the question Claudia originally asked before the mission. They really do value their life over the money.
Post mission, the castle is a buzz with speculation about who has shields? Who lied about taking shields? Whoever did this…how dare you!! The usual scrambling. Not to mention the Harriet/Rachel situation.
During the round table, Sam admits his team took two shields during the mission. Then it’s Harriet vs Rachel. Harriet jokes that Rachel is dressed to kill. 🤣 Harriet explains how she’s suspected Rachel’s a traitor from the start, bringing up how she acted after their blindfolds came off.

Rachel defended herself admirably. She also reveals a secret of her own. She’s been training with FBI agents on people’s facial expressions, spotting liars, etc. She’s profiled every one of them there.
James asks her who’s her read tonight? Rachel replies, “Jade, I’m sorry, but I think it’s you.”
Leave this poor introverted girl alone! I think she gets most of the suspicion against her because she’s quiet and shy.
Harriet reiterates this is a power move because if she’s banished, it will clarify that what she’s saying is true by saying she’s a faithful in the Circle of Truth. She practically begs them to call her bluff.

Harriet is banished. She reveals she’s a faithful. The group can’t believe it. Why would she do that?
Claudia tells the group the traitors will be laughing at them in the turret later.
Suspicion is now moving on to Roxy and Matthew.

Ellie believes Harriet was right and Rachel is a traitor.
Later on up in the turret, Rachel says she was afraid to breathe. Rachel and Stephen both reveal they have shields. So, only five people are safe from murder.
Claudia joins them and tells them they have the choice to murder or recruit. They decide to murder.
But who? Their only choices are; Jessie, Adam and James (He has a shield, so it could get interesting.)
Of course, they leave us with a cliffhanger, so we won’t know until the next episode.

I think they’ll kill Jessie because they won’t want Matthew to turn on them. Besides, Jessie will never be banished, so now is as good a time as any.

Until the next time… ✌🏻
