I made up my own title because the UK doesn’t usually have one, but I hope you like it. “The Rain Gods Are Angry, & Fiona Is Too” will make more sense by the end of this recap. Another day…another new episode of The Traitors UK! It’s A LOT when you have both UK and US airing new episodes at the same time. 🤯 And so much happens in this episode too!
I have one more episode of UK (stay tuned) then I’m all caught up for the week! Yay!
As usual, I write spoilers, so if you haven’t watched the episode yet and don’t want to be spoiled…don’t go any further!

Episode five of The Traitors UK continues on from four, where we find Mas, Sam, Reece and Stephen locked up in cages, waiting for the executioner to free them. The last one left will be murdered face to face by the traitors.
So who was it?
We skip to breakfast with Fiona saying how much she loves murdering people as a traitor. Fiona’s planting seeds about Reece being a traitor if he comes into breakfast.
Rachel’s regretting putting Stephen on the shortlist because he’s being talked about as a traitor.
First Sam, then Stephen come into breakfast. Stephen comes under fire from Amanda because she misheard how he said Reece and Mas were the last two left. Fiona doesn’t like how Rachel doesn’t try to defend Stephen.
We find out Mas was the one who was murdered face to face. He wasn’t surprised to see Stephen as a traitor, but he was surprised to see Rachel and Fiona are. He feels mostly betrayed by Fiona because he thought they were friends and she was planning on stabbing him in the back.

Mission time! They have to split into three teams. They see ten big statues, with a bunch of shields in front of them with their names on each. They go into the woods to search for spears, come back, put the spear into the fire to light it, spear the big statue, which will light it on fire. While they’re doing this they have to yell out one of the names on the shields, which will make that player ineligible to win a shield.
They have twenty minutes to light as many statues as they can. For each statue, they will add £1000 to the prize pot.

They managed to light nine statues on fire, therefore adding £9000 to the prize pot.
Claudia said, “you had to choose a sacrifice and the rain gods are angry.” As it’s pouring rain now.
Those who names were yelled out, whose shields lit on fire, and are at risk for murder are; Sam, Reece, Jade, Amanda, Faraaz, Fiona, Ellie, Stephen and Matthew.
After they return to the castle, Amanda asks to speak to Rachel alone and tells her she was a police detective. She’s not telling anyone else about her job. Rachel is mind blown.
Later on at the round table, Jessie can’t get Ross getting framed out of her head. Stephen takes a little bit of heat because he came back and Mas didn’t.
Amanda says if she’s murdered that night, Jade is a traitor. But she goes after Sam for saying something about being tired. Sam says she’s making things up. Makes me wonder how good of a detective Amanda was because her reads on traitors are so far off.

Amanda ends up being banished, but it’s close between her and Reece. So close, that after a re-vote, it’s still tied. It went to a game of chance. They were each given a chest, One has a shield, the other doesn’t. Reece gets the shield, so Amanda is banished.

After the round table, Rachel is taking Amanda’s banishment hard. She goes from group to group and tells them about Amanda being a retired police detective.
Fiona doesn’t believe it. Why would she tell Rachel and not her? Her husband and brother are both police officers. She is angry and feels like she’s being played.
Fiona then pulls Rachel aside and tells her about her feelings. Fiona thinks Rachel is going to get rid of her and Stephen. Rachel denies this. Fiona doesn’t believe her.
Rachel is over this convo and retells what happened between them to another group. Fiona comes in and calls her out and even says she thinks she’s a traitor. The room is speechless. Stephen had to leave the room.

What is going on? Everyone is confused, including me.
Rachel says she knows who she’s going after the next day and that’s Fiona.
Later on that night, the traitors meet up in the conclave. AWKWARD, is an understatement.
The episode ends with these looks on the three traitors faces. I had to get screenshots because I just couldn’t describe them accurately enough.

I feel like I got whiplash from Fiona and her antics. Did anybody else notice she broke one of the traitor rules? She’s supposed to keep her fellow traitors’ identity a secret, and she said it aloud in a room full of people.

Until the next time… ✌🏻
CODE!!! Fiona shoulda been DQ’d! But of course production wants that high stinking cheese drama!! I thought at the episode I heard a knock on the door… I won’t spoil it for others but DAMN!! Fiona went full tilt on that exposure! IMO Secret Santa, I meant Traitor went right to her head!!
