The Traitors US: The Death Conga

As I told you before, I’m recapping each episode of The Traitors US instead of recapping all three episodes at once. Who has time to read an extra long recap? So here’s episode two titled, “The Death Conga”. Which sounds dreadfully delightful.

If you haven’t watched the episode yet, this is your final warning…there will be spoilers ahead! Look away now, if you don’t want to know!

The episode begins with the traitors up in the turret deciding who out of Ian, Eric, and Mark they should murder. As usual, we won’t know who until the next morning at breakfast.

The next morning at breakfast, talk revolves around the drama between Porsha and Candiace from the night before. (Please read my recap from episode one, if you can’t remember what happened.)

Rob C is growing suspicious of Yam Yam. (Why do my faves always target each other?!) STOP THAT!

We find out another one of my faves, Ian, is murdered. The traitors bring up how he won Big Brother, and how it’s a good move. Ian thinks he did something wrong. Oh, Ian…you did nothing wrong. Tiffany said Ian told her he came on to face his fears. That’s not helping me in my grief, Tiffany! 😭😭😭

After breakfast Porsha makes Mama Kelce and Ron suspicious of her. Michael is also making people suspicious.

We find out on the way to the mission, Mama Kelce likes Ron because her son, Travis, worked with him before and so she feels a bond with him.

The mission is another repeat mission stolen or taken from The Traitors UK. The throne mission, where they have to push a throne back to the castle within forty-five minutes, or they get nothing. The last person to sit on the throne wins a shield.

During the mission, Lisa is pissed because she got dethroned by Colton, or as she says, “a big, burly football player. I do not like it.” Get him, Lisa! 😈 He’s annoyed me since his season of The Bachelor.

Yam Yam is the last to find a shield. Who will he replace? He chooses Maura.

They complete the mission in time! The players safe from murder are; Yam Yam, Caroline and Colton, since they’re the last ones to be sitting on the thrones.

Michael makes a big scene about how he’s in danger and needs a shield, but how dare Yam Yam get a shield instead of him. Alan tells him to bring that up at the round table. Thank you, Alan!

Suspicion falls on Donna. People feel like she’s not contributing to conversations. She feels like she hasn’t really bonded with anyone except Ron.

At the round table, Donna is the first person brought up by Natalie. Ron mentions how Porsha brought up that there’s four traitors. How did she know that? Again, they bring up Candiace telling her how someone said to put the coffin in a housewives’ grave. Candiace turns the heat back onto Donna, who turns it back on Candiace. I love me a round table mixed with fireworks. 🍿🍿🍿

Michael puts a huge target on his back by opening his big, fat, stupid mouth. I have a feeling he’ll get banished soon, just for being annoying.

Michael: digging his own grave.

It’s time for the vote! The players with the most votes are; Donna, Michael and Porsha (Or, should I say “Porsche”.)🤭 That’s a car, not a RHOA icon! 🤣 Sometimes the way players spell each other’s names kills me.

Porsha ends up being the one banished. The round table is (of course) shocked when she announces she’s a faithful.

Candiace is now wanting to target Ron. He was instrumental is getting rid of Porsha. She wanted Donna gone instead. She’s not happy.

The traitors are given a note. They must murder in plain sight. In the kitchen, there’s tarot cards hiding behind a portrait of the grim reaper. These tarot cards represent the shortlist of players to murder as picked by the secret traitor. They have to find said cards and figure out who to murder. They then take the card of the player they want to murder and burn it in the breakfast room fireplace. If they’re successful, they get to meet the secret traitor the next day. If they’re not successful, they don’t get to murder tonight, don’t get to meet the secret traitor and will have no control over who is murdered tomorrow.

It’s very hard for the traitors to get the tarot cards out from behind the painting – due to nobody leaving the kitchen. Candiace comes up with the idea to do a conga line as a distraction. Now the title of this episode makes sense.

Rob C knows this is a distraction to do a murder in plain sight, which he tells Tiffany. His senses are tingling. Something’s happening.

While they’re doing the conga, Rob R grabs the tarot cards. The shortlist the secret traitor provides is; Monet, Rob C (boo, who hurt this secret traitor?) Tara and Kristen.

Rob R teaches Lisa how to play chess, but it’s really just a way to figure out who to murder. Each chess piece represented one of the players on the shortlist. Very clever, Rob.

Rob R “teaches” Lisa how to play chess.

Meanwhile, Rob C tells Candiace his suspicions about how it’s a murder in plain sight and asks her if she started the conga line. Zip it, Rob!!

Rob R and Lisa figure out who to murder, throw that player’s tarot card into the fireplace, but Candiace has no idea who they decided to murder. Her edges are even falling out onto the floor. Welcome to the club!

The episode ends with us not knowing who they chose.
