The Bachelor: Episode 2

The episode starts with Jesse Palmer telling the women about the dates for the week.

If you haven’t watched the episode yet – you might want to look away now. I’m going to spoil.

Jesse tells the women there’s two group dates and one one-on-one date with Alexe this week.

The first group date is basketball related. Grant introduces the women to some kids. The kids are the coaches and get the women warmed up. Next, it’s time for some slam dunks.

Wait…what’s Zoe doing? She’s forfeiting her shot and steals Grant, then takes him up to the roof?

Meanwhile, the women and the coaches are standing around waiting for Grant and Zoe to get back.

Zoe and Grant come back. The other women were not happy. Zoe is basically sorry, not sorry. (I think we’ve found our villain. 🤭)

The women have to play five-on-five basketball against each other. The MVP of the game will get his letterman jacket to take home.

Suddenly, there’s a crowd cheering as Jesse joins them along with a sportscaster.

The women are split into two teams: the purple team Grant Prize and the yellow team Grant Slam. Team purple has all of the taller women.

Things got physical between Zoe and Alli. Alli pushed Zoe so hard she landed on the floor.

I should note that a number of women lost their nails during the basketball game. One woman lost all ten of her nails. It got that competitive and physical.

Chloe wins MVP and kisses Grant in front of everybody after receiving his jacket. She’s the first to have alone time with Grant. Natalie is next and Grant shows her a video of the kids and how much they love her. Grant and Natalie kiss. 💋

Later on Zoe interrupts Grant in the middle of a one-on-one. The woman complains to the other women about it, of course they get angry on her behalf. “She’s already had her time!” Alli Joe has had enough. She steals Grant from Zoe, who says she has two minutes. Zoe hovers around and steals him back literally after two minutes. 😂🍿

Who said they didn’t want drama?

Alli Joe confronts Zoe when she comes back, in front of the other women. Zoe sits there silently.

Grant interrupts them to hand out the group date rose. It gets tense while everyone hopes they get the rose. 🌹 Judging by the look on Zoe’s face, she’s fully expecting to receive it.

WRONG! It goes to Natalie. He loved the way she was around the kids and that’s what he’s looking for in a woman.

Back at the bachelor mansion the women are looking for tarantulas.

Alexe’s one-on-one date with Grant takes place in an empty mall, where they break a bed while jumping on it, beatbox into the mall’s PA system and basically do everything you’ve ever wanted to do in an empty mall. Grant makes up a song and sings it to Alexe, who is impressed.

It’s a very sweet as a sundae kind of date. Literally. (They make sundaes at a sundae bar.) And she gets a rose! 🌹

The second group date was music themed. Mario makes a special appearance and sings for the ladies.

They all have to make up songs of their own and sing and dance in front of an audience, like girl groups.

I’m so far out of my comfort zone I can’t even see my comfort zone from here. ~ Litia

Carolina impresses Grant the most. They get a special serenade from Mario. Meanwhile, Carolina and Grant are like:

Get a room!!!

The girls on the second group date are much better behaved. Everybody lets them have their one-on-one time. Grant feels like things are awkward based on vibes he’s getting. He asks the girls if there’s anything wrong? They just tell him this date too then out of their comfort zone.

You could tell Carolina fully expected to get the group date rose 🌹 but it ends up going to…Litia! Yay! I like her.

At the rose ceremony the women who get roses aren’t really surprising. Lots of tears! 😭😁
